Are you marketing youself or someone else?

I post this question today because I meet many professionals over the course of a day, week, and month in which I don’t see this, and wonder why?

Are you marketing you, or the internet company you use? Why give recognition to someone else, are you trying to build your business or theirs?

When working with professionals I’ve found on an ongoing basis, that on their business cards they have the company name, address, phone number, but when it comes to contacting them on email they stop promoting their company, and or business. Have you noticed this also? For instance Joe Smith; works for ABC Printing, on his business card he has the following:
Joe Smith
ABC Printing Inc.
123 E. First Street
Crown City, US 12345
JoeSmith@sbcglobal.net

Why? Why didn’t Joe ( or his company) make sure to have the email showing ABC Printing? Why promote SBC, or any other internet company when it’s your company you want them to remember? Don’t give away the power of persuasion, consistancy is the key to building your brand, and recognition. Promote you and your company not another. At Client Connector we have our information on everything, our website www.ClientConnector.com , or info@clientconnector.com , or even mine directly on my business cards, Lynne@ClientConnector.com .

Go out and see if you can get your own domain name on GoDaddy, or other sites in which you can purchase domain names. Good tip on that also, be sure to be logged into your account so that if the domain name is available you are ready to grab it. Once you grab that put it on everything, emails, business cards, blogs, newsletters, etc. Ingrain it in everything you do.
